Sunday Morning Baked French Toast With Fresh Strawberry Sauce

Sweet delicious brioche French toast with strawberry sauce. Quick and easy to serve to your family on Sunday mornings.

Ingredients 

  • 1 Loaf Brioche Bread, 6 slices about 1inch thick
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 tbsp Flour
  • 1.5 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1.5 tsp Vanilla Bean Paste
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 tbsp Butter, Melted
  • 1 package Strawberry, fresh
  • 1 Lemon, juice of a lemon
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water

Instructions 

  • Directions
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  • In a mixing bowl lightly beat eggs, add flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, 1 tsp vanilla, and salt until smooth.
  • Then gradually beat in milk slowly.
  • Next, pour into a 9×13 dish, and place bread in the mixture soak on both sides and soak well for 30 minutes.
  • In a clean 9×13 dish spray with cooking spray and arrange bread slices. Next, drizzle the melted butter.
  • Bake 475 for 10 mins and then turn over for another 10 mins or until bread gets crispy.
  • Prepare the strawberry sauce on the stove top.
  • Combine the sliced strawberries, 1/2 tsp vanilla, lemon juice, water, and cornstarch and cook on low heat until melted and thick.

Equipment

  • pyrex dish, 9×13
  • 1 small sauce pan

Notes

You can use regular vanilla and it is the same 1 to 1 ratio.
Also, freezing the bread beforehand helps with soaking the bread.
