Sizzling Sweetfire Baked Tofu
Baked crispy tofu with a sweet honey and sriracha glaze. Serve this for a quick healthy dinner over brown rice and a side of fresh steamed broccoli.
Ingredients
- 1 Package Firm Tofu
- 1.5 tbsp Cornstarch (divided)
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
- Cooking Spray
- 1/4 Cup Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp Honey
- 2 tbsp Sriracha Sauce
- 1 Scallion Chopped for Garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Place the block of firm tofu in the tofu press. Keep pressed for about 10-15 minutes until drained. See the note below if you do not have a tofu press.
- Next, slice the tofu into 1-inch cubes and add to a ziplock bag with cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Gently shake the bag, place it on a lightly sprayed baking sheet evenly and do not touch other pieces.
- Then, bake the tofu for 15 minutes and then flip the tofu and bake for 15 minutes more.
- Together, whisk in small bowl the soy sauce, sriracha, honey and 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch pour over the baked tofu.
- Then, warm the sauce on the stove until evenly coated.
Equipment
- 1 Baking Sheet
- 1 large Saute Pan
- 1 Mixing Bowl
- 1 Tofu Press, You can use a heavy lid from a pot.
Notes
If you don’t have a tofu press, then use a heavy lid or cutting board and apply pressure for about 15 minutes.
